Pre-Academy Development Program

• Who are the coaches?

  All our coaches are a part of our Wanderers Academy Coaching team. Click here for more information on our coaches.

• When will the sessions be held?

  The sessions will be held on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons depending on your child’s grading.

  The 10-Week block dates are:

  Term 1: 5 March 2022 to 8 May 2022
  Term 2: 20 May 2022 to 24 July 2022
  Term 3: 12 August 2022 to 30 October 2022

• Where will the sessions be held?

  All sessions will be held at the Wanderers Football Park:

  Gate B, Blacktown Football Park
  81 Eastern Road
  Rooty Hill NSW 2766

• What will the players learn?

  Our pre-academy players will be taught the same skills and methods as the Wanderers Academy players through our player-centric Wanderers coaching philosophy. This is driven by the outcome to provide future players for our Izusu UTE A-League Mens, Liberty A-League Women, and National teams.

• What will players receive?

  Players will receive:

  • Professional coaching from our Academy Coaches
  • A training kit:
    • Jersey
    • Shorts
    • Socks
    • Drink bottle
  •  Guest appearances during each 10-week block from :
    • Isuzu UTE A-League Men
    • Liberty A-League Women
    • A-League Youth
• Do you accept the Active Kids voucher?

  Yes.

• How many players per coach?

  Each session is designed to cater for the individual development of each player, as such we would have 10-15 players per coach, per session.

• Do you have a program for girls?

  We are an inclusive club and the program is designed to include boys and girls.

• How can I book my child in?

• What happens if the weather is unsuitable to train in?

  In the event of heavy rain or extreme heat, sessions will be modified and conducted within our indoor facilities including our gym and/or video room

• When do bookings close?

• What if my child has to miss a session?

  If your child is unable to attend a Pre-Academy Development Program session, please notify our us as soon as you can. Click here to get in touch with our Community Team.

• Can I sign up my child for longer than 10 weeks?

  Our Pre-Academy Development Program is available for  10, 20 or 30 weeks. Click here to book now and choose the option that suits you.

• Do the coaches have a Working With Children Check (WWCC)?

  Yes. All Wanderers coaching staff must have a current WWCC and must have completed their Child Protection and Harassment and Discrimination online training courses through Play By The Rules.
