Western Sydney Wanderers FC, supported by the Wanderers Foundation, is proud to announce the Future Wander Women Program is back in 2023. With the FIFA Women’s World Cup fast approaching and rising interest in the world game on Australian shores, the program is an opportunity to be discovered, mentored and developed as the next superstar in Western Sydney.

Program Outline

The Future Wander Women Program will build on the skills that players already possess while teaching them new skills and techniques to improve their game based on the club’s highly regarded coaching curriculum.

  • Trained by our highly qualified coaches, the Wanderers coaching philosophy is player-centric and driven with the outcome to provide players for our Liberty A-League Women, and national team
  • Trials for selection will be held on:
    • DATE TBC
  • The program runs as 20-week blocks across Terms 2 and 3 of the school calendar year on Wednesday nights:
    • Term 2
      Dates TBC 
    • Term 3
      Dates TBC

  • Trial days will be held to choose the final 60 participants
    • 30 participants in the 10-12 year age group
    • 30 participants in the 13- 16 year age group
  • Players will be taught the same skills and methods as the Wanderers Academy players
  • An opportunity to identify and transition players into the Wanderers Academy
  • Open to girls only
  • The first day of the program includes a player and parent/guardian induction session

  • Future Wander Women training kit (jersey, shorts, socks)
  • The Coaching team is headed by Linda Khamis with Liberty A-League stars assisting under the guidance of Western Sydney Wanderers Head of Women’s Football, Tom Sermanni
  • Players will train in a safe and enjoyable learning environment
  • Coaching for the Future Wander Women Program is built upon key principles which are consistent with our style of play

How Do I Register?

Registrations are now closed to trial for the 2022 Future Wander Women Program.
Grading days will be hosted to determine the final 60 participants.

Registration for the 2023 Future Wander Women Program will open early 2023.
