Sydney Catholic Schools | After-School Development Program

Program Overview

Designed to advance the skills of Sydney Catholic Schools students, this program is open exclusively to boys and girls wanting to develop their football skills under the guidance of Western Sydney Wanderers coaches.

Program Outline

Held exclusively for Sydney Catholic School students, the After-School Development Program, in partnership with the Western Sydney Wanderers FC will build on the skills that players already possess while teaching them new skills and techniques to improve their game based on the club’s highly regarded coaching curriculum.

The After-School Development Program will be held at <InsertSchoolName> on every <InsertWeekday> during the school term from <InsertTime>.

  • Trained by our highly qualified Academy coaches the Wanderers coaching philosophy is player-centric and driven with the outcome to provide players for our Isuzu UTE A-League Men, Liberty A-League Women, and national teams
  • Players will be taught the same skills and methods as the Wanderers Academy players
  • An opportunity to identify and transition players into the Wanderers Academy

2024 Calender

The After School Development Program will run alongside the school calendar. 

  • Term One | Thursday 1 February – Friday 12 April
  • Term Two | Tuesday 30 April – Thursday 4 July
  • Term Three | Tuesday 23 July – Thursday 26 September
  • Term Four | Tuesday 15 October – Wednesday 18 December

What You Get

  • An additional After-School Development Program training kit (jersey, shorts, socks)
  • Players will train in a safe and enjoyable learning environment
  • Coaching of the Pre Academy key principles which is consistent with our style of play across the club
