Pre-Academy Development Program | Girls Only

Designed to advance the skills of players aged 10-15, this program is open to girls wanting to develop their football skills under the guidance of experienced Western Sydney Wanderers coaches.


The Girls Only Wanderers Pre-Academy Development Program will build on the skills that players already possess while teaching them new skills and techniques to improve their game based on the club’s highly regarded coaching curriculum.

Our primary focus is to develop and strengthen the skill set of each young footballer whilst using a modern, methodical approach to key fundamental techniques.

  • Mentored by our highly qualified A-League Women coaches, our coaching staff will create a player-centric coaching philosophy and driven with the outcome to provide players for our Liberty A-League Women and national teams
  • An opportunity to identify and transition players into our highly regarded Future Wander Woman Program
  • Open to girls only

2024 Calender

The program will run alongside the school calendar year each Friday night.

  • Term Two | Friday 31 May – Friday 5 July

Recommended Ages

The program is broken down across the following age groups and timings:

  • 10-12 years old from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM
  • 13-15 years old from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM

What You Get

  • An option to purchase a Pre-Academy Development Program training kit (jersey, shorts, socks)
  • Professional coaching from both the highly qualified Wanderers coaching staff under the guidance of Head of Women’s Football, Tom Sermanni and A-League Women Head Coach, Robbie Hooker
  • Players will train in a safe and enjoyable learning environment
  • Coaching of the Pre-Academy key principles which is consistent with our style of play across the club
